The Sakyamuni Buddhist Sangha of U.S (SBSUS) was founded in 2014 by His Honorable Thich Giac Chinh and officially incorporated in July 2016 in the state of California, U.S.A. SBSUS dedicated to spread Buddha's teachings, meditation, and Applied Buddhism in America, focusing on spiritual growth, education (including Sakyamuni University), and compassionate community service. Our mission encompasses various activities, including:

Main Activities
- Spreading Buddhism and Meditation: We aim to introduce Buddhist teachings and meditation practices to the American public and benefit humanity, promoting spiritual growth and well-being.
- Education: We strive to establish Sakyamuni University, providing a platform for Buddhist studies, academic research, science research, and community engagement.
- Buddhist Studies and Journalism: We publish the Journal of Buddhist Studies, promoting Buddhist scholarship, science research, and journalism.
- Dharma Mountain Publishing: Our publishing house produces and disseminates Buddhist literature, supporting the spread of Buddhist teachings, and Social science research.
