We had a successful meeting for the overall construction plan of the Temple, the construction works are taking place at Dharma Mountain. We are happy to announce and update Temple's Construction - Sangha Building and Dharma Program Support, to share information with the public to supporters and Buddhist members.

The overall construction plan of the Temple includes the General of the Temple's Meditation Hall, this is a large project built on the middle of the mountain. A multi-use house of the Sangha will be built next to the Zen hall, on the hillside.

In addition to the required technical progress from the County, we need to finalize the access road, the internal road to connect to the bridge, and design and complete the bridge over the stream.

Our Temple Construction project will begin construction soon once the technical progress required by the County of San Diego has been met: (1) we need to finalize the driveway entrance area for the gate, (2) the internal roadway to connect to the bridge, (3) and completion of the bridge over the stream. (4) The path leading to the mountain where the Zen hall and the multi-use house of the Sangha were built. (4) The fire protection water area around the middle of the forest with the Zen hall and the house of the Sangha. (5). The road lot is completed to allow the fire truck to make a turn, within the specification required by the Fire Department. (6). Sewage drainage area and septic tank system need to be completed.

The meeting concluded 6 immediate steps that our temple needs to take, then it will be to next step on the foundation for construction works. According to the estimated professional calculations, our temple needs to prepare the expected financial resources to complete the 6 items which is 700,000 USD.

In the past time, although the epidemic has made the situation difficult, our temple, along with donors, supporters from near and far, have worked together with Professional Engineers, San Diego County - Department of Environmental Health has approved the Construction Site and Water Treatment System permits for the Construction.

At the same time, in the past year, our Temple has carried out construction: Electrical system and Water system that Dharma Meditation Temple has completed with approval (permit has been completed) of the San Diego County government. The Electrical System is low voltage for Dharma Mountain use, which is a commercial electrical system. The water system includes a City-approved and ready-to-use water source; The completed commercial clean well water system is also included in the construction project. All three projects, implemented from July 2018 to now, have been completed.

Our temple and civil engineers, and two Architects have been working with us for 4 years until now. Currently, we are preparing many steps to start the main construction to be built. To do that with progress and meaning, we are always grateful to our supporters, donors, and members of the temple who have always supported us until today. It is a noble blessing in the work of serving the Buddhadharma, contributing to spreading the good things of morality and peace to the public and to the faith in the Buddhadharma.
